Mr. Steinvorth is a founding partner of LatinAlliance. He specializes in Corporate, Maritime and Aeronautic Law; he has ample experience in the areas of Arbitration and Foreign Investment.
He is an accredited arbitrator for the following Costa Rican institutions: Centro de Justicia Alternativa del Colegio de Abogados de Costa Rica, Centro de Resolución de Conflictos del Colegio Federado de Ingenieros y Arquitectos, Centro Internacional de Conciliación y Arbitraje (CICA), Costa Rican American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) and the Centro de Conciliación y Arbitraje de la Cámara de Comercio de Costa Rica. In international arbitrations, he has also taken part as arbitrator for the Comisión Interamericana de Arbitraje Comercial (CIAC).
He has been a member of the Board of Directors and Secretary General for the Costa Rican Chapter of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC); he is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Arbitration and Conciliation Center of the Costa Rican Chamber of Commerce.
He has a law degree from the University of San Jose, Costa Rica. He took courses in the states of Virginia, Lousiana and Massachusetts, U.S.A. and has a Master degree in International Commercial Law (LLM) plus a Master degree in Maritime Law (MLAD), both from Tulane University.
Steinvorth has also completed extensive studies in Arbitration and International Arbitration Law at the American Arbitration Association in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has been part of the Instruction Program for Attorneys in International Commercial Arbitration and Negotiation of the University of Harvard, Massachusetts. He has also been awarded an Executive Certificate by the INCAE and the Georgetown University Law Center – INCAE, Nicaragua.
