Professional experience

She has been a partner at LatinAlliance since 2000. Her professional experience has led her to work as a Regulatory Procedures attorney for R&D offices of international renown, among them Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline, Merck & Co. Inc., Sanofi-Aventis, Janssen Cilag, Novartis, Eli Lilly, Astrazeneca.

Her position has been key for the growth of the firm. She was in charge of establishing LatinAlliance Nicaragua and has contributed to the regionalisation of regulatory assessment and diversification of services, such as the creation of the Food and Medical Devices Units within the firm.

She currently works as the Product Regulatory Director for Central America and provides consulting on regulatory procedures of pharmaceutics, cosmetics, foodstuffs, chemicals, and hygiene products for human use; she also provides consultancy regarding medical devices, biomedical equipment, test data protection and patent rights of innovative products.

Academic background

Olga holds a degree in Legal Sciences from the Evangelic University of El Salvador; she is an expert in Sanitary Legislation issues for Central America and the Caribbean. She has taken multiple courses and seminars on topics  such as best practices for manufacturing and Central American legislation, pharmaceutical law, biosimilars, biotechnology, clinical and biomedical research. She is also notable for having taken the course on patents and test data protection under CAFTA, provided by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA), among others.
