On Tuesday, September 8, laboratories developing a vaccine to combat the Covid-19 virus signed an agreement stating that they will not submit their vaccines to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) until their effectiveness and safety have been proven through a mass test.
This agreement has been described as “unusual among rivals”, and at the same time, it shows the degree of concern and commitment that these multinational pharmaceutical companies have with the world’s population, since their objective is to guarantee the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine and, furthermore, to rule out any assumption that their production responds to political interests, given the global situation.
Who are the laboratories involved?
The pharmaceutical giants that are working on this solution are AstraZeneca, Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline, Merck, Moderna, Johnson&Johnson, Novavax, BioNTech and Sanofi. Each of these companies has worked extensively on studies and trials with the goal of developing a potential vaccine for the deadly disease.
In LatinAlliance we are proud to be strategic allies in Central America of AstraZeneca, Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline, Merck and Sanofi, and we attest to their high commitment to develop innovative solutions that safeguard the health of the population, leading projects under quality and structure schemes that make them the great leaders of the industry.
