The attached Announcement has been issued by the Department of Regulation and Control of Pharmaceutical and Related Products, regarding the Electronic Certificates of Pharmaceutical Product (CPP) and Certificates of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) issued by Health Canada (HC) and the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

In the same one it is indicated that during this pandemic the electronic emission of Certificates of Pharmaceutical Product (CPP) and Certificates of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP or BPM) has been implemented by these organisms, replacing the standard process in which it was counted on a physical impression of these certificates, substituting them by certificates signed and authenticated electronically, reason why these electronic documents will be received as long as they fulfill the legal aspects indicated in the Law of the Judicial Organism and the RTCA 11.03.59:11.

In view of this, the following must be submitted:

  1. Printout of the electronic documents.
  2. Printout of the corresponding Apostille or Passes of Law.
  3. Indicate the official Link to verify the authenticity of the documents.
  4. If the electronic documents are in a foreign language, they must be accompanied by a sworn translation, made in Guatemala.
