To support the economic and commercial integration of Central America and to simplify procedures for sanitary registration for the first time, an ELECTRONIC SYSTEM TO FACILITATE THE MUTUAL RECOGNITION (MR) OF SANITARY REGISTRATIONS OF FOOD AND BEVERAGES has been implemented. This procedure accepts the registration of a product that has been registered in another State Party of the Central American region to be marketed in its territory with the original registration number.
The Regional Integration System for Sanitary Registrations (SIRRS) allows us to make consultations of a Sanitary Registration, request a Mutual Recognition, and obtain its approval. For this process, the following must be done:
1. CREATE THE DISTRIBUTOR USER:
The Distributor user is created or associated by the Legal Representative, using the User Management menu, to create necessarily the following information:
– Name
– User (assigned by the Legal Representative)
– Password (assigned by the Legal Representative)
– E-mail address
– Role to be played by the Distributor (applicant)
Now, if the Distributor already has a user, it is possible to associate an existing account in the system, searching with the name, user, and e-mail.
For both steps, the Distributor will be notified by e-mail.
2. COMPLETE PRODUCT INFORMATION, regarding:
– Product Name
– Country of Origin
– Sanitary Registration Number
– Country of Destination.
3. PAYMENT OF TARIFFS: Cancel the payment of tariffs before the Health Ministry.
4. ANALYSIS: The Health Ministry validates that the documentation and information submitted are correct, and once reviewed it may indicate:
– Approved
– Rejected/Observed
– Pending Registration
– Pending Payment
– User Not Authorized
– Expired
5. CERTIFICATE: If the information and documents presented are in order, the Mutual Recognition will be granted and the respective Electronic Certificate will be issued.
The process takes approximately 8-10 working days.
