By means of Legislative Decree No. 450 published in the Official Gazette No. 147, Volume No. 436 dated August 10 of this year, the Legislative Assembly approved “Amendments to the Labor Code”, in order to incorporate a new numeral 10° to Article 29 which regulates the obligations of the employer, such obligation consisting of in “Registering its employees to the social security system, according to the terms and terms imposed by the Social Security Law and its Regulations. Workers who complete their probationary period and temporary workers are not exempted from the above obligation”.
This amendment is already in force and its compliance is enforceable eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
To strictly comply with the reform of the Labor Code, it is important to consider that according to Article 7 of the Regulations for the Application of the Social Security Regime, workers must be registered to the mentioned regime, by their employer, within ten days from the date of their entry to the company.
