An extension is approved in Costa Rica so that inactive companies may file the Inactive Companies’ Patrimony declaration. According to resolution DGT-R-033-2022, the deadline for filing the informative declarations of inactive companies is extended until April 30, 2023.
This means that thanks to this resolution, the deadline for inactive companies to comply with the obligation to file the declaration of their assets, liabilities and corporate capital within the ATV system of the Ministry of Finance is extended for four more months.
Companies that fail to comply with this obligation could be exposed to fines of up to three base salaries, approximately ¢1,400,000.
In LatinAlliance Costa Rica our team can help you with the processes to comply with the obligation mentioned above.
