Our Founding Partner, Botho Steinvorth, was named as part of the team of delegates of ASIPI (Interamerican Association of Intellectual Property).
ASIPI is one of the most important organizations on Intellectual Property matters in the American region.
Being a national delegate implies to be an active member of ASIPI for three consecutive years and to have an ongoing relationship with the Association.
National delegates have various obligations, such as:
- To inform the Executive Committee every year regarding any change of address and other necessary information about any member of its country, after its verification.
- Act as coordinators among the associates of their country, the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors.
- Collaborate with the Executive Committee in the distribution of ASIPI material among the associates of their country in the collection of fees in the cases in which they are expressly required to do so.
- Attend meetings of the Board of Directors and carry out the tasks entrusted to it.
- Among others.
Botho Steinvorth is an accredited arbitrator for the following Costa Rican institutions: Centro de Justicia Alternativa del Colegio de Abogados de Costa Rica, Centro de Resolución de Conflictos del Colegio Federado de Ingenieros y Arquitectos, Centro Internacional de Conciliación y Arbitraje (CICA), Costa Rican American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) and the Centro de Conciliación y Arbitraje de la Cámara de Comercio de Costa Rica. In international arbitrations, he has also taken part as arbitrator for the Comisión Interamericana de Arbitraje Comercial (CIAC).
He has been a member of the Board of Directors and Secretary General for the Costa Rican Chapter of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC); he is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Arbitration and Conciliation Center of the Costa Rican Chamber of Commerce.
