Probably the crisis experienced in Nicaragua in April 2018 mentally prepared me for the quarantine, a voluntary quarantine, in our case, since it has not been imposed by the government.

When you are in confinement you have two options to experience it: the negative one, where you see everything gray and anxiety torments you, or the positive one, where you see this type of crisis as an opportunity.

I chose, without hesitation, to live the quarantine in a positive way.

I have a pretty busy day with my regional work and my family commitments, but I reserve some daily time for “self-care” focused on two areas: the mind and the body.

I believe that if you feed your mind with positive thoughts and affirmations, it will allow you to easily overcome the quarantine and become a better version of yourself.

Through self-care you find LIFE BALANCE, which is physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, personal and professional well-being.

Among the self-care practices that I carry out are:

  1. ü Meditation, which calms and relaxes the mind and allows us to feel well-being.
  2. ü Accept new experiences and allow myself to feel
  3. o let go, let go
  4. ü Practice yoga
  5. ü Read (books that contribute positively to my life)

Yes, it is a roller coaster of emotions because not every day I feel positive and well, but I also welcome the days of low spirits with love.

I consider this global pause to be the best time to be reflective and thus discover if, thanks to us, the world is being a better or worse place to live and take the necessary actions so that everything around us benefits from our existence, whether by emitting positive opinions from our co-workers, being less selfish, helping those who need it, recycling, I feel conscious of the environment, of animals, I could go on...

Let's value this time of calm and live in the present without rushing the future because the only thing we have certain is today.
