The National Congress approved the Framework Law on Housing and Human Settlements with the aim of promoting construction and reducing the country's housing deficit.

Along with the Law, the Ministry of Housing and the Honduran Housing Fund (FONHVIVIENDA) are created.

This law seeks to generate jobs through the construction of between 8,000 and 10,000 1- and 2-bedroom homes per year.

Honduras will have clear rules and a stable housing policy that will reduce construction administrative procedures and awaken the interest of banking institutions to finance the sector.

Although this law has been approved by the National Congress, its decree number and date remain pending.

Our team at LatinAlliance will be informing you about it.
