LatinAlliance El Salvador, Lawyers and Notaries, informs you, as part of our commitment to keep you informed and updated on legal issues and of national interest, that the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, has made known to the public its intention to extend the Deadline for submitting authorization files for environmental instruments and obtaining Environmental Licenses (January 3, 2020), regardless of their category.
This extension is established for three years, starting from the publication of the respective Government Agreement, establishing the date until December 16, 2022.
In that sense, said ministry will continue analyzing the files that have already been submitted for prior knowledge and authorization, granting the opportunity to projects that have not yet been able to start with this requirement, to be able to carry out the respective procedures to obtain said licenses and comply with current environmental regulations.
