As part of our commitment to keep you informed and updated on legal issues and national interest, we inform you that on December 23, 2019, Ministerial Agreement 540-2019 issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare was published in the Official Gazette, which contains the "INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION AND REGISTRATION OF INTERNAL WORK REGULATIONS", through which the implementation of the automated system for the electronic presentation, approval and registration of Internal Work Regulations is agreed, such regulations as established by the legislation, it is an employer's obligation to have ten or more collaborators in their workplaces.

Said ministerial agreement entered into force as of January 10, 2020, the date from which the General Labor Inspectorate will refrain from receiving the files that contain these internal regulations in physical form, only submitting them digitally. through the platform that the Ministry of Labor implements for this purpose. One of the conditions for the respective registration is to have an advanced electronic signature for your signature, in accordance with the provisions of the Law for the Recognition of Communications and Electronic Signatures, Decree 47-2008 of the Congress of the Republic. Within its procedure, the presentation and prior study of the file is contemplated, extending a "transitory record" of its registration, which has codes to verify its authenticity, concluding with a "definitive record" and authenticity seals on all its pages. . All communication in the analysis of the file, between the Ministry and the employer, will be carried out electronically through the Ministry's web portal.
