An extension is approved in Costa Rica so that inactive companies can present the Declaration of Equity of Inactive Companies. Pursuant to resolution DGT-R-033-2022, the deadline for submitting informative returns of inactive companies is extended until April 30, 2023.

This means that thanks to this resolution, the term for inactive companies to comply with the obligation to present the declaration of their assets, liabilities and capital stock within the ATV system of the Ministry of Finance is extended by four more months.

If companies do not comply with said obligation, they could be exposed to fines of up to three base salaries, approximately ¢1,400,000.

At LatinAlliance Costa Rica our team can help you with the processes so that you can comply with the aforementioned obligation.
