On January 13 of this year, through circular 236 of the Superior Council of the Judiciary, it was defined that the base salary of Clerk 1, according to the list of positions of the Ordinary Budget Law of the Republic for this 2023, will remain at the sum of 462,200 (four hundred sixty-two thousand two hundred colones).
Thus, the same amount as the previous 2 years is maintained to establish various penalties established in the Criminal Code, as well as taxes and fines where it is necessary to use the value of the base salary, as determined in Law 7337.
It is important to mention that said base salary will apply throughout the following year, even if the salary that is taken into consideration for fixing is modified during that period. In the event that there were to exist, in the same Budget Law, different salaries for that same position, the highest amount will be taken for the purposes of this article, as mentioned in article 2 of Law 7337.
