Guatemala: On December 30, 2019, Government Agreement 320-2019 was published, which will enter into force on January 1, 2020, through which the Minimum Wage was defined as follows:

  • Agricultural Activities: the minimum wage has been defined in Eleven Quetzales and Twenty-seven cents (Q. 11.27) per hour, which translates into Ninety Quetzales and Sixteen cents (Q. 90.16) newspapers in ordinary daytime.
  • Non-Farm Activities: the minimum wage is defined in Eleven Quetzales and Sixty-one cents (Q. 11.61) per hour, which translates to Ninety-two Quetzales and Eighty-eight cents (Q. 92.88) newspapers in ordinary daytime.
  • Exporting and Maquila Activities: the minimum wage is defined in Ten Quetzales with Sixty-one cents (Q. 10.61) per hour, which translates into Eighty-Four Quetzales with Eighty-Eight cents (Q. 84.88) newspapers in ordinary daytime.

Honduras:

On January 006st, agreement 2019-XNUMX entered into force in Honduras, under which an increase in the country's minimum wage was established as follows:

  • Companies with 1 – 50 employees: increase in the Minimum Wage by 5%
  • Companies with 51 – 150 employees: increase in the Minimum Wage by 6.75%
  • Companies with 151 employees or more: increase in the Minimum Wage by 7%

Costa Rica:

In October 2019, Costa Rica approved an increase in the minimum wage that would take effect in 2020, which would be applied as follows:

  • Private Sector Workers: the National Salary Council approved an increase of 2.53%.
  • Domestic Service Workers: an increase of 2.33% was approved
