Lately, complaints have increased from users who have been contacted by collection companies to demand payment of debts that have already been settled. This was clarified by deputy Ronald Arango, who met with authorities from the Superintendency of Banks (SIB) and the Consumer and User Ombudsman of the Human Rights Ombudsman's Office (PDH) with the aim of reaching an agreement on mechanisms that protect the rights of people who have been victims of the companies that carry out the collections or of banking entities.

"There are many issues to watch over for the user and the consumer, this type of action affects the citizens at the labor level and therefore economically", Arango explained.

The Superintendency authorities indicated in the meeting that the bank is directly responsible for issuing this type of documents. However, they promised to follow up on the issue. On the other hand, the Consumer Ombudsman expressed its concern regarding the complaints they receive from users.
