Due to the blockades and demonstrations that have been occurring in Guatemala since last week, and have affected the mobility of the population, the Ministry of Health through the Department of Regulation and Control of Pharmaceutical and Related Products has implemented today, October 10 of this year., Resolution Jef.DRCPFA-18-2023 regarding the delivery of response to review note or entry of renewals.

Said document announces that derived from the latest events recorded at the national level and considering the needs of the regulated sector, they announce the following:

  • In the event that users have problems attending the Department's facilities in person and must enter responses to review notes or entry of renewals that are about to expire by deadlines established by Law (Technical Standard 80, Technical Standard 90, Technical Regulations Central Americans), so temporary, They may send the response or request to the institutional email of the Section or Unit corresponding to their procedure, attaching supporting documents and indicating the following information in the email:
  • Subject: Process close to expiration
  • Data:
  • Indicate if it corresponds to Response to Review Note or Renewal entry
  • Name of the Product or Procedure
  • SIAD No. / Password (if applicable)
  • Last date to enter a response or note, according to legislation.
  • Take into consideration the following:
  • This process does not correspond to an electronic evaluation.
  • This process will be valid only if the user attaches a response/request and supporting documents.
  • When the situation in the country stabilizes, the user must submit the documentation to the Department immediately for the corresponding evaluation, attaching a support email to allow its entry at the document reception and delivery window.

Likewise, they indicate that in case of doubts, contact the institutional email or direct telephone number corresponding to each Section or Unit according to the procedure. This information is published on the Department's website.
